The Rhyming style that the our times were demanding

Elsa Takaoka and Fanny Liem have garnished the books industry with a beautiful piece of art, a little book called “A Moat is not a Goat” aimed to girls 3-7 years-old.
The rhymes are playful, sassy and make multiple winks to the readers. They set up the perfect tone for a Mother Goose of the 21th Century.

The stories (there are 13 short stories in the book) are beautifully illustrated and certainly are appealing to little girls: Pony Car Wash, a casual lighthearted tale about a ponies’ beauty salon; True Treasure, a pirate little girl who rhymes pirate’s words; Twin Left and Twin Right, story about a cute couple of twins; among many other compelling and attractive topics.

This book is ideal at bedtime. The fabulous images and the gracious cadence of the rhymes, will encourage your kid’s imagination to move further, creating an exceptional environment to discuss with him/her what their thoughts are, and maybe stimulating you both to keep creating alternative dénouements for the tales!

I’ll be looking forward to Elsa's upcoming titles! Buy books from Elsa Takaoka in her Amazon Page

Multicultural Children’s Book Day 2017 (1/27/17) #readyourworld is its fourth year and was founded by Valarie Budayr from Jump Into A Book and Mia Wenjen from PragmaticMom. Our mission is to raise awareness on the ongoing need to include kid’s books that celebrate diversity in home and school bookshelves while also working diligently to get more of these types of books into the hands of young readers, parents and educators.
Despite census data that shows 37% of the US population consists of people of color, only 10% of children’s books published have diversity content. Using the Multicultural Children’s Book Day holiday, the MCBD Team are on a mission to change all of that.
